They All Left

They all left
Except the moon
The girls left and I don't miss them
They were loud
The old couple on the other side left too
They were silent
A large crowd of young men sitting in a circle
Will leave soon
I will certainly like them gone
My drink and my food will go down
The fire will die and the cold will settle
The book is thick but I will get to the end
Traffic got replaced by the summer cricket hiss
And there is nothing else
And I like it this way
They're all gone now
Just me and the moon
