Highest Note of a Dull Day

A door half open
You can stare but you can't
Get in
It's your wedding
Rain pouring
Your bride is late
A scented candle
But you lost your smell
Having a car
But you're always home
Travel plans
But nowhere to go
Having friends
But you're so alone

A beating heart
But I feel nothing
Air in the lungs
Oh what a waste
You could smile
But it will be fake
Your lips on mine
I can't taste

All the things that are missing
And if you had them
Nothing would change
Like the highest note
On a dull
Day

I hardly care
Why would I
I left everything to burn
Its eating away
Crawling slowly
getting to me
And I am waiting...
Eagerly
Come meet me
At my highest
At my lowest
I am nothing
Ashes in a burning forest
Anyways
I am calling it a day
